NEW VEHICLES: 2015 Ford Transit T460 17 Seater Minibus

Last week we were eagerly anticipating the arrival of our second 2015 Ford Transit T460 Minibus to our premises, located just a stones throw away from London Hire. Already sitting proudly at the front of our yard was the first of our brand new Transits, but now that the second is here we must admit that together, they look fantastic! Both displaying Access A Bus Sales UK number plates, there is no doubt we will have enquiries coming out of our ears for these 2015 Ford Transits.

Both of our new Transits are identical vehicles and we are sure that the updated T460's will be an instant hit with minibus drivers for more reasons than one. As our two newest vehicles at Access A Bus Sales UK, it would only be right to bring you another blog post on what is arguably one of the most prestigious minibuses in the industry at this moment in time.

2015 Ford Transit T460 17 Seater Minibus

In terms of the minibus as a whole, specification included, both of our Ford Transit T460's are exactly the same. There is just one difference between the two vehicles and that is the bodywork, one with frozen white exterior and the other with blazer blue. As brand new minibuses, the conditioning of both the bodywork and the tyres are perfect, not to mention the grey interior of the T460 which is of the highest quality. Inside the vehicle it is incredibly spacious, which allows for ultimate passenger comfort.

Onto the specification of these Ford Transits, which is as basic as it comes for a minibus partly because it is non-accessible. With a 2.2 TDCi engine, both of these minibuses have an engine power of 125PS and a six speed gearbox, which is standard stuff for a Transit. Like most non-accessible minibuses, both are right-hand, manual drive vehicles and the Ford Transit T460's have a long-wheel base, ensuring for maximum vehicle stability.

Best Used For...

Ford Transit minibuses are most popular with schools and a number of local authorities because they are strong, durable and long-lasting vehicles. Not only that, but its 17 seat capacity allows for a large number of passengers to board the minibus, something which is highly beneficial for schools.

We have currently priced our Ford Transit T460 Minibuses at £24,000 + VAT, RFL and FRF, but both the vehicles are subject to price change and availability. They both come with delivery mileage and we are open to any enquiries you have on our brand new Ford Transits.

2008 Renault Master SL28 Automatic Disabled Minibus

We thought it was about time that we brought you a slightly different feature on our Access A Bus Sales UK blog. It comes in the form of an automatic but also accessible minibus, a vehicle that is hard to come by on the majority of automobile sales websites. Fortunately for those in the market for an automatic, accessible minibus, we have the 2008 Renault Master SL28 currently in stock.

As an automatic, the Renault Master SL28 has a fairly simple specification, although it does have some fantastic accessible features for a 6 seater minibus. Despite our most in-demand vehicles being the Ford Transit, Mercedes Sprinter and Volkswagen Crafter at Access A Bus Sales UK, we have had a number of enquiries from potential buyers regarding this automatic Renault Master minibus.

2008 Renault Master SL28 Automatic Disabled Minibus

This 2008 registration Renault Master minibus has maintained its pristine look. With tyre conditioning of 90%, slick grey interior and the bodywork to match, this accumulates towards a minibus with the highest possible appearance quality. Covering just 37,000 miles, our automatic Renault Master, which has a small wheel base, looks as if it has just left the factory as a brand new minibus.

Now onto the specification of the vehicle. Containing a 2.5L turbo diesel engine with a capacity of 2464 cc, the Renault Master SL28 minibus will have no problem in transporting disabled passengers with an engine that is in great conditioning. As we have mentioned, this minibus is an automatic and that brings enormous benefits for disabled drivers.

In regards to accessing the minibus, it has 5 easily accessible doors to allow passengers to board the vehicle efficiently. Fitted with an on board electric tail lift, those who are wheelchair users will have no problem when it comes to boarding. There is also a side loading door as well as a twin front passenger seat, giving wheelchair users more space towards the back of the vehicle.

Some of the other features within the Renault Master disabled minibus include air conditioning, a rear saloon heater, an air bag fitted as standard and also an anti-lock braking system. Just like the tail lift, the locking system, the windows and the mirrors are all electrically operated. Weighing in at 2,800 kg with a full service history, the Renault Master SL28 minibus is the perfect vehicle for all welfare purposes.

Priced at £15,000 + VAT and with an MOT lasting until March 2016, our 2008 Renault Master SL28 Automatic Disabled Minibus is available to purchase right now from our yard in Belvedere. We offer free UK mainland delivery and please do not hesitate to ask for more details from our sales team.

AVAILABLE NOW: Two Ford Transit 2.4TDCi 17 Seater Minibuses

Another day, another blog post. Here at Access A Bus Sales UK, we always have over 100 vehicles in stock and the Ford Transit minibus, undoubtedly one of the most popular vehicles in the industry, is constantly in-demand amongst our sizable customer database. Currently we have two identical 2009 Ford Transit minibuses that are available to purchase from our Belvedere premises.

Ford Transit minibuses are fantastic all-round vehicles and although these two specific Transits are both non-accessible, there are a number of quality features that make these minibuses incredibly appealing for potential buyers across the market. There are some aspects of this Ford Transit which are unique, from the engine to standard on-board features. As a vehicle with a large specification, we think it is time to get down to business and tell you all you need to know about our 2009 Transits.

Ford Transit 2.4TDCi Duratorq 430EL 17 Seater Minibus

When we mentioned that the Transits were identical, we were not only talking about their appearance but also the specification. Kicking off with the bodywork, these Transit minibuses both sport a frozen white exterior, which remains in immaculate condition given that they are 2009 reg vehicles. With 90% tyre conditioning and fantastically furnished interior, not to mention tinted glass windows, the overall appearance of the 17 seater Ford Transits both inside and out can only be described as excellently maintained.

Onto the vehicle specification, which sets these particular Ford Transits apart from the rest. Usually, Ford Transits have an engine power of 125PS, but these two 17 seater minibuses boast an engine power of 140PS, making them a more viable option for local authorities. Fitted with a 2.4 turbo diesel engine that has a capacity of 2402 cc, our manual transmission Transits run smoothly and efficiently.

Like most minibuses, it has a LWB but is also a hi-roof vehicle, which ensures for maximum comfort when on-board the vehicle whilst simplifying things for passengers boarding and and exiting the minibus. Some of the other features include a safe-t-bar rear bumper, a tow bar, mudflaps and both Transits are also fitted with a tachograph and fully functioning air conditioning, two features which are not always evident in a Ford Transit minibus.

When it comes to boarding the minibus, there are five easily-accessible doors, one of which being a side load door. Both Transits, the GGE and GGJ regisitration, have a full service history and are also PSV tested. There are only three differences between the GGE and GGJ registration vehicles, which are the price, the mileage and the length of MOT.

Our GGE registration is priced at £13,500 + VAT, has 26,000 miles on the clock and an MOT until April 2016, whereas the GGJ vehicle is priced at a cheaper £13,000 + VAT due to its higher mileage, precisely 27,000 miles and has an MOT lasting until May 2016. One thing is certain, if you were to purchase any of our 2009 Ford Transit 17 seaters, you would be guaranteed a reliable and very durable minibus.

NEW VEHICLES: Volkswagen Crafter CR50 Welfare Disabled Minibuses

Bright and early on Friday morning, we had two Volkswagen Crafter CR50 Minibuses delivered to our yard in Belvedere, Kent which we are going to be selling through Cambridge Fleet Ltd's recently established trading arm, Access A Bus Sales UK. Both are wheelchair accessible welfare buses, one has Indian blue bodywork with the other sporting a more standard silver metallic bodywork style.

Available as a 10 or an 11 reg vehicle, we thought we would bring you another installment of the new vehicles we have at Access A Bus Sales UK by putting together a blog post on these Volkswagen Crafter Minibuses. Think you might be interested in taking one of them off our hands? Then you best listen up, as here is all you need to know about the Volkswagen Crafter Minibuses we have in stock.

2011 Volkswagen Crafter CR50 Welfare Disabled Minibus

Lets start with the 2011 Volkswagen Crafter, a vehicle which we have priced at £26,500 + VAT that has a GVW of 5,000 kg. We guess the best place to start would be to take you through the standard features of the vehicle - it is a right-hand drive vehicle as expected, with manual transmission and an MOT which lasts until July 2016. Having racked up some 82,000 miles already, the tyre condition of this Volkswagen Crafter is at 90%, which is not bad at all.

As for the overall body condition of the vehicle, it is no short of excellent in our eyes and the Indian blue exterior really does look fantastic and has been highly maintained. It has a LWB, a 2.5 TDI Diesel engine with a capacity of 2461 cc but most importantly, the engine performance is smooth and with a full service history behind it there can be no doubts that this Crafter is a quality minibus.

Fitted with 17 seats (including the driver), this minibus is capable of taking 3 wheelchairs and the underfloor electric tail lift makes getting disabled passengers on board that little bit easier. Access for other passengers has been made simple with an electric power door and an easily accessible front passenger entrance. Inside this Volkswagen Crafter you will find a working air bag, luggage racks, a rear saloon heater with tracked flooring and soft cord trimmed and overall excellent interior.

2010 Volkswagen Crafter CR50 Welfare Disabled Minibus

Onto the older model Volkswagen Crafter CR50, the 2010 registration, which we have priced at £28,000 + VAT due to its considerably lower mileage in contrast to our other Crafter minibus. Both CR50 minibuses are fairly similar in terms of their features, although those within the 11 reg Crafter are more advanced. Again, with this vehicle you are working with manual transmission, right-hand drive and a vehicle weight of 5,000 kg considering it is a CR50.

In terms of the condition of the vehicle, the interior, exterior and the silver metallic body work are in immaculate condition, with the tyre conditioning at 90%. This 2010 Volkswagen Crafter has covered just 35,000 miles, which explains why we have priced it higher than the 2011 Crafter. A full van conversion was undertaken by Stanford Coachworks on this vehicle which has a LWB, a 2.2 Diesel engine with 109 PS and a capacity of 2461 cc. Again, this minibus comes with a full service history.

Onto the accessible features of the vehicle, such as the underfloor tail lift and a foldaway side step which allows for easier access for passengers with a disability. Just like any standard welfare disabled minibus, the vehicle is fitted with 17 seats and also contains 5 doors so that passengers can enter from various sides of the minibus. With fully tracked flooring and fitted with eberspacher climate control, the Volkswagen Crafter CR50 is the perfect accessible minibus for welfare purposes.

Cambridge Fleet Ltd: Everything You Need To Know

Cambridge Fleet Ltd is the company all others buy from and these (above) are just some of the vehicles that we sell
Just last month, Route One, the market leading coach and bus industry weekly magazine, came to our offices in Belvedere to talk to us about the story behind Cambridge Fleet Ltd, the vehicles that we sell and the role that Cambridge Fleet has to play within the accessible and non-accessible vehicle trade.

As Access A Bus Sales UK, the trading arm of Cambridge Fleet Ltd, continues to grow rapidly on social media just like the company itself, we thought we would give you the lowdown on everything we do at Cambridge Fleet and there is no better place to do so than right here on our very own blog!

Cambridge Fleet Ltd: An Overview

Just in case you didn't already know, Cambridge Fleet Ltd is Britain's largest supplier of quality used and new accessible and non-accessible minibuses. It doesn't just stop at minibuses, though. From buses, vans, WAV's, tippers. fridge vehicles, cars - you name the vehicle, whether it be accessible or non-accessible, we more than likely sell it here at Cambridge Fleet.

As our offices are just a stones throw away from London Hire, arguably the most renowned supplier in the minibus market who fleet over 1,500 vehicles, the task was handed over to us at Cambridge Fleet to sell those vehicles as the disposal arm of London Hire. Due to the increasing demand for accessible and non-accessible vehicles, Cambridge Fleet branched out to include other dealership activity, purchasing vehicles for ourselves from local authority and community transport groups.

In order to deal with the huge demand of the accessible minibus market, Cambridge Fleet decided to form the Access A Bus Sales UK trading arm. Launched in June, Access A Bus provide quality and specialised vehicles to customers with trusted expertise and a background of the industry.

The Shareholder's Perspective

When speaking to Route One, John Surroy, partner and shareholder of Cambridge Fleet Ltd, gave a detailed history of Cambridge Fleet and explained how the company continues to grow. "We moved into our own premises two years ago" said John. "Cambridge Fleet started out by selling London Hire's de-fleeted vehicles. That business exploded so we decided to set-up as a full-blown dealer".

Demand for used minibuses is on the rise, particularly from organisations that need to transport the disabled as well as schools. As John explains, Cambridge Fleet and London Hire are able to provide the vehicles they require. "As local authorities put work out to tender, we are witness a rising demand for used minibuses. Between the two businesses, we are able to cover the entire minibus market".

Varied Offering On Our Vehicles

As we touched on previously, we have a wide range of accessible and non-accessible vehicles at Cambridge Fleet from a variety of manufacturers. From simple models to a more varied offering, we have it all. "We do a lot of 17-seat Ford Transits" John says. "Buyers save a lot by going for a late model Transit that has done 15,000 miles. We buy and sell whatever types we can get hold of."

So that is your standard vehicle. However, here at Cambridge Fleet we work alongside converters such as Euromotive, Stanford Coachworks and Treka who help us to transform standard minibuses into accessible models to give us a varied offering. "A customer could select a non-accessible bus from our stock and specify its conversion to carry wheelchairs" John continues. "We would have that work carried out by one of the three and we offer that service on Crafter, Sprinter and Transit".

The Role Cambridge Fleet Ltd Plays In The Industry

To summarise, both London Hire and Cambridge Fleet are both well established in the industry and fleet and sell enough accessible and non-accessible vehicles to cover the entire minibus market. As the Access A Bus Sales UK trading arm grows, Cambridge Fleet will become more of a force in the minibus market, building strong relationships with new and current clients and generating more sales.

2015 Peugeot Boxer Minibus Lite 17 Seater

The 2015 Peugeot Boxer L3 Minibus Lite 17 Seater is available with us now at Access A Bus Sales UK
Overview

Access A Bus Sales UK presents to you the new 2015 Peugeot Boxer L3 Minibus Lite, a 17 seater, non-accessible vehicle that maintains three key aspects in which we pride ourselves on - comfort, flexibility and safety, the latter being undoubtedly the most important. With a new vehicle comes smooth performance and immaculate interior and exterior, which is exactly how we would describe the Peugeot Boxer Minibus Lite, a vehicle that is now available with us.

Manual transmission, right-hand drive with fantastically furnished grey interior and white exterior - standard stuff really. As a new vehicle, the Peugeot Boxer L3 Minibus Lite has delivery mileage and the buyer would be the first to start racking up the miles. It also has a 6 speed gearbox, single side door and remote central locking, pretty much what you would expect for a minibus like this.

However, this is not just an ordinary non-accessible minibus as there is much more than meets the eye, making the Peugeot Boxer Lite unique from the rest of our vehicles at Access A Bus. To drive a minibus it would usually be the norm to hold a D1 licence, but that is not the case for this minibus.

Features and Further Information

Priced by us at a competitive £26,050 + VAT and + RFL, the Peugeot Boxer L3 Minibus Lite consists of a 2.2 turbo diesel engine, 130PS, an engine capacity of 2.2 HDi and has a LWB. There are of course 17 seats including the driver's seat, but remember that the L3 is strictly non-accessible.

Those who require wheelchair access should look towards the L4, which is the accessible version of the Peugeot Boxer Minibus Lite. Despite being a fairly large minibus, it is described as a lightweight vehicle, something which may come as a surprise to some. Due to the weight of the vehicle, drivers will not require a D1 entitlement, which we will explain in a lot more detail...

D1 Licence

In order to drive a minibus, you will require a D1 entitlement on your licence if you passed your test AFTER 1st January 1997. As the Peugeot Boxer L3 weighs under 3,500kg, it is not necessary to hold a D1 licence, enabling those with a regular driving licence to drive the vehicle.

How does the Peugeot Boxer L3 fit under the description of a 'lightweight vehicle'? Well, when manufactured, weight saving materials were used extensively in order to produce a 17 seater which critically is below 3.5 tons. Minibus licencing regulations state that vehicles under 3.5 tons do not require drivers to hold a D1 licence, which brings a number of benefits for different organisations.

Regular driving licence holders qualify to drive the Peugeot Boxer L3 Minibus Lite, subject to a few conditions. First of all, you must have held a category B licence for at least 2 years and you must be over 21 years old. Also, you must receive no payment for driving the vehicle, with the exception of out-of-pocket expenses. As long as you fall in line with those conditions and provide the bus operator with a Section 19 permit, you are then free to drive away the Peugeot Boxer L3 Minibus Lite on a regular driving licence from Access A Bus.

Best Used For...

Organisations such as schools would find the Peugeot Boxer L3 Minibus Lite as an ideal vehicle for them, purely and simply because drivers do not require a D1 licence. As a result of the lightweight nature of the vehicle, it would allow for more members of staff to drive the minibus which would greatly benefit schools. Incurring the cost of training for a D1 licence would also be avoided should an organisation look to buy the Peugeot Boxer L3, which we see as the perfect minibus for schools.
