2015 Peugeot Boxer Minibus Lite 17 Seater

The 2015 Peugeot Boxer L3 Minibus Lite 17 Seater is available with us now at Access A Bus Sales UK
Overview

Access A Bus Sales UK presents to you the new 2015 Peugeot Boxer L3 Minibus Lite, a 17 seater, non-accessible vehicle that maintains three key aspects in which we pride ourselves on - comfort, flexibility and safety, the latter being undoubtedly the most important. With a new vehicle comes smooth performance and immaculate interior and exterior, which is exactly how we would describe the Peugeot Boxer Minibus Lite, a vehicle that is now available with us.

Manual transmission, right-hand drive with fantastically furnished grey interior and white exterior - standard stuff really. As a new vehicle, the Peugeot Boxer L3 Minibus Lite has delivery mileage and the buyer would be the first to start racking up the miles. It also has a 6 speed gearbox, single side door and remote central locking, pretty much what you would expect for a minibus like this.

However, this is not just an ordinary non-accessible minibus as there is much more than meets the eye, making the Peugeot Boxer Lite unique from the rest of our vehicles at Access A Bus. To drive a minibus it would usually be the norm to hold a D1 licence, but that is not the case for this minibus.

Features and Further Information

Priced by us at a competitive £26,050 + VAT and + RFL, the Peugeot Boxer L3 Minibus Lite consists of a 2.2 turbo diesel engine, 130PS, an engine capacity of 2.2 HDi and has a LWB. There are of course 17 seats including the driver's seat, but remember that the L3 is strictly non-accessible.

Those who require wheelchair access should look towards the L4, which is the accessible version of the Peugeot Boxer Minibus Lite. Despite being a fairly large minibus, it is described as a lightweight vehicle, something which may come as a surprise to some. Due to the weight of the vehicle, drivers will not require a D1 entitlement, which we will explain in a lot more detail...

D1 Licence

In order to drive a minibus, you will require a D1 entitlement on your licence if you passed your test AFTER 1st January 1997. As the Peugeot Boxer L3 weighs under 3,500kg, it is not necessary to hold a D1 licence, enabling those with a regular driving licence to drive the vehicle.

How does the Peugeot Boxer L3 fit under the description of a 'lightweight vehicle'? Well, when manufactured, weight saving materials were used extensively in order to produce a 17 seater which critically is below 3.5 tons. Minibus licencing regulations state that vehicles under 3.5 tons do not require drivers to hold a D1 licence, which brings a number of benefits for different organisations.

Regular driving licence holders qualify to drive the Peugeot Boxer L3 Minibus Lite, subject to a few conditions. First of all, you must have held a category B licence for at least 2 years and you must be over 21 years old. Also, you must receive no payment for driving the vehicle, with the exception of out-of-pocket expenses. As long as you fall in line with those conditions and provide the bus operator with a Section 19 permit, you are then free to drive away the Peugeot Boxer L3 Minibus Lite on a regular driving licence from Access A Bus.

Best Used For...

Organisations such as schools would find the Peugeot Boxer L3 Minibus Lite as an ideal vehicle for them, purely and simply because drivers do not require a D1 licence. As a result of the lightweight nature of the vehicle, it would allow for more members of staff to drive the minibus which would greatly benefit schools. Incurring the cost of training for a D1 licence would also be avoided should an organisation look to buy the Peugeot Boxer L3, which we see as the perfect minibus for schools.
